Is it normal if I took L298 and connect it only to the power pin 4 and pin 8 GND to the pin 3 is almost equal to the voltage of the voltage source, I smacked 4 new L298 and we all let the voltage on pin 3 when connected to the voltage source 4th pin
Do you believe that L298 of 4 chips that are just all wrong, all new and never to them is not connected to a stepper motor.

Hello,
I tried builing a similar board with l298 and l297 xyzsmsch1
The problem i dont have any bipolar motors, only unipolar with 6 wires.i put the motor to act as a bipolar with 4 wires.
I use EMC2 as software.The problem is when i try to activate the motor (x axis) nothing happens.I have 4.9 V in pin 10 on l297.
Can anyone help me?

has a similar board schematic, i was wondering it will work with unipolar stepper motors?

Thanks for the reply.
But i tried that and the motor just heats up and nothing is moving.Perhaps is the 8 diodes i used (FR302, SF54, PR3002).
Edit: I obs. that i used 1.5k as potentiometer and the 2 resistor 0.82 ohm and 0.27 ohm at 3 W. Does this change something?
