I am in the process of trying to find a new CNC Vertical Lathe with live tooling. I need a 25" to 30" max turn diameter and be able to tap a 3/4-10 hole in tool steel. Which of these machines might be my best bet: Daewoo puma 550m, Amera Seiki VT600, or the You Ji YV600. The Mazak QTN 450M horizontal lathe is also in the running, but the max turn is 22.8". The prices are all in the same area. Thanks for any help.

Did you figure it out?
I have the exact same problem, but I only need to cut an od and face. We also have a slant 450nexus w/ live tooling, but really want to do larger roughing on a cheaper VTL. I have been looking at the Chevalier 20, but it not yet in production or I could buy the first one. So I've been looking at a You Ji 500 vtl, anyone got one or something else comparable that works like a champ?
