    Calculating steps per revolution

I just wanted to verify my steps per unit. I calculated 8000.

My calculation is based on the motors being 1.8 deg. or 200 steps per rev.

I have Nema 23 steppers at 495oz. Using Keling 4030 drivers set at 1/8 microstep.

    Mechanical Drive - 1/2 10tpi 2 start screws ( I calculated .2 thread pitch so 5 revs per unit)

    Here's my formula:

    200 x 5 = 1000 then 1000 revs per unit x 8 (for 1/8 microsteps) = 8000

    or

    200 x 8(microsteps) = 1600 then 1600 x 5(turns per unit) = 8000

    Does this sound correct?
