There is a race to make the best AI generated height map generator going on now and we all are the beneficiary of the technology. Not ground shaking like the rest of the AI push but still pretty cool.

AI generated height map. I used Stable Diffusion XL with Marigold height estimator module but there are probably dozens of different engines to do the same. Microsoft, Adobe, google, Photoshop, TikTok,...and a ton more are all working on them.

This AI stuff for 3d printing and cnc pattern making in my opinion is not really revolutionary but definitely evolutionary in term of technology given photogrammetry and older machine learning technologies. Regardless, it is allows folks with no CAD or 3d modeling background to make amazing patterns now.
