    Multiple Fixture Offsets

I've got a question regarding the programming of multiple fixture offsets. I have one small part and instead of running it one part at a time I'd like to fixture 10 of them in chick type vises and run 10 per program. is there an easy way to do this. I'm using version 11 programming a FADAL.

    Thanks in advance!

Are they equally spaced? Or are they random on the table? You want a different G5# fixture offset for each one?

Well it was nice that you answered one of the 3 questions I wrote.

    Mike,

I guess I thought that with separate fixture offset numbers the other two questions were moot. I mean, don't you set up x0 y0 z0 for each G54, G55, G56.... and so on?

In reality, the parts will be somewhat equally spaced just to keep everything close. and may end up being random on the table. This is a short run prototype so it's kind of a more flexible situation than full production parts.

Thanks again, I'll try the Datum Shift! It looks like a somewhat time intensive way to program.

if the parts are spaced equally then you may want to check out the Matrix Mode, if you aint familiuar with the matrix mode then do a search in the help menu.
