E-Drawings is an application for viewing and marking up models and drawings with the option to allow measuring. You can't machine directly from an E-Drawing and there is no "converter". You need to get the model it was created from. If you can't use sldprt files then ask for another file format you can use.

E-Drawings are mainly used for quoting or collaboration between users of different cad systems (or lack of), or if the owner of the file doesn't want anyone to have access to the actual model.
