Its the tool.
I had selected a spotting drill and used it as a chamfer mill - this has been done in other apps but i guess Fusion is smart enough to fault-out if you try and tell it move a drill sideways

Your spotting drill appears to be configured as a chamfer mill in your tool library, so I see no issue with that.
It posts fine for me as well -- one warning in the final operation, but not a show stopper at all.
Yes that was the fix, before, it was configured as a drill.
Its a universal tool so i have left both version in the library.
Will try and get the part on the mill tomorrow, finally
It's the different offsets that will be doing it then.
Try with the Mach3 post in the default folder that one worked for me, it's not hard adding what you need into the new post you will more than likely find after they fixed yours they would of added it to the default post.

The generic mach3 post worked here too, but as my M3 post was altered, i would not want to try it.
I doubt they would add the code as it is specific to my controller - a CS-LABS CSMIO-IP/A unit under mach3 control - it uses a special format for rigid tapping commands.
Its working now so all good
Now, to find out if the part works.......
You can email it to me if you wont I can change it over to the new post well have a go at doing it at any rate, I have all mine how I wont them I need to practise more

dave G28 I see you have it putting out a G53 Z0 instead of a G28 G91 Z, I can change it to be the same or put a else if put out the G53 Z0 if you have G28 set to no, it's what I do on my post G28 is when needed otherwise G53 Z whatever you wont

I always prefer G53 i think, there was a reason but i cant recall what it was now.
Else-If sounds ok.
I did it anyway, If you have no home switches it can crash or if it's not set to have G28 Z0 before a G28 X0 Y0 or just a G28 crash city or you just don't wont it going to home at the start a tool change or at the end

Update - the part from hell actually cut
In fact it cut pretty well considering the stock too small and on the last cuts all that was holding it in the vise was a web of metal 1.5mm thick - there was a little vibration but not bad, and i did hover over the stop button a few times
If its goes to production i'll order stock a bit larger to leave a full frame around the part.
Nice work -- photos ?
PM
Here we go,
1st side and 2nd side
Now i need to learn how to slice the model in two to create a half-model to machine a nice fixture to locate a semi finished part so i can machine the jaws to exact width.....
(menu item): Construct / Midplane
Select the top and bottom surface of your model
Click "OK" in the small window that opened
(menu item): Modify / Split Body
Select your Body / Click on "Splitting Tool - Select" in the small window that opened / Select your new Construction plane / Click OK
done (second body will appear in the left column)
Ok, thanks, in the end i went a different way and went back to sketch, only extruded in one direction instead of symmetrical
Anyway, before i start tearing out whats left of my hair - if i want to effectively create a negative of the the part, do i need to create a negative sketch??
Any ideas how?
I have been trying to machine "inside" the part and Fusion says NO! Then i thought it may be wrong to try and machine away the part from itself???
Not sure if it makes sense but i need to machine a socket to take the lower half of the part
Edit,
So i now have a negative image model and i still can not get a tool path - fusion selects ok but refuses to give a tool path???
A360
Brilliant, well spotted.
I must have messed it up with my skewed sketch origination
Another one for the note pad.
Thanks.
The simple way is make a solid body then combine cut the solid useing the actual model as the cutting tool.
The solid body you have to size of what it comes from, then you just name it for what it is onces you have used it you just turn its light bulb off.
Same if you model your stock have it as it's own body named stock then you use it in the setup then turn its light bulb off when finished with it.
