    Question Okuma LC20 Alarms?

    Hi,
We have a customer who recently put an old Okuma LC20 back into production while they decide on the future of the product. The machine had been running ok (surprisingly) however they have started getting alarm 1100 and 1550 on the control.

Before calling us they messed around with the boards in the back and the cabling and they seem to get the machine going again but it has become more and more of a problem since it's happening more frequently now. We have gone through all the connections and plugs on the machine and many are brittle but contact is still good, sometimes the machine will run for up to a few days without the alarm, has anyone else had or heard of this problem before?

They have a second one which we tried to use but it also has a problem with switching off, once it is turned on for the first time it switches off immediately but after trying a few times it eventually stays on for about a day, then about a week and then a month etc until there is a power failure then the whole process starts again, very frustrating unfortunately we have been saddled with the task of getting it running from management. Any suggestions on either problem would be welcome (the first problem being the major one)

What controller is on the LC20?
We had a LC20M with a OSP5000L-G controller and I may be able to find the alarm book for it lying around somewhere...
    Cheers
    Brian.

    Hi Brian,

It has the same control, if you could post any information from the book on alarm 1100 and 1550 it would be great.

I think it has something to do with a relay and the emergency stop checks etc but still can't find the cause,

    Thanks again

    Thumbs up

    Sorry Eighteenten,
Found the alarm manuals, but there is no reference to the alarm numbers that you mentioned.
    Regards
    Brian.
