X2 Z axis Spring and Fusion CNC Kit

Just wanted some feed back regarding loosing my Z axis spring?

I have the newer spring and I don't see any difference with or without it using the Fusion Z axis ball screw.

The only difference is I can now get full travel without the spring.

    Wooden,

I too bought the LMS airspring upgrade. After I received all of my parts for my conversion I learned it was not needed. So there it sits on a shelf in my shop.

If anyone wants it for their X2 it's theirs for $40.00 shipped to their door(in the USA of course)

    LAter,
    Tim

    Thanks Tim

I thought that was the case. I was looking at the torsion spring upgrade from little machine shop and thought better of it.

Try selling it on eBay It will sell fast.

Sorry for being a pain and asking but are you saying a counterbalance spring on the head is not required at all?

I am starting my X2 conversion and it would be good to konw.

My guess is no. From my observations the stepper motor and ball screw does just fine without it. I wanted opinions from others.
