looking for a decent torch height control Hypertherm max pro 200 running mach 3
any help would be apreciated especially if someone is running the same setup

The Max Pro 200 is a high frequency start. We have married it to several THCs. I would highly suggest you run something that may be more noise immune like an ethercut from CandCNC (Linux or Mach or stepper or servo). You will still need to ground the components correctly or your going to be starting over or fixing your electronics. The hard part about being in Canada is that you cannot get good noise immune electronics for a table build there. The Max Pro 200 uses an open collector for arc ok. You can either build the circuit to utilize the open collector or buy the CNC interface for it. Either or the Max Pro 200 is an awesome machine!!

Yes, ArkOk (XFER) output of the MaxPro200 is open collector 24V/10mA.
We use this schematic for connection Neuron THC to MaxPro200. 12V power supply from controller and small 12V relay used.
For other controllers you have to use small relay (for example TQ2-24V) and external 24V power supply. Connections to the Raw Arc voltage and to the Start input are easy too.
