    fusion 360 with floppy

Hi, i am trying to get my code on to a floppy after i generate it in fusion 360. i am using a mac the a usb floppy drive and can't get the code to transfer over to the floppy. I am using the haas generic post in fusion and i open it fine and read it not the desk top but not once it is transfer to the floppy, the machine is 2003 tm1. When i load the disk in the machine i can pull a file up but there is no code in the file. i am using a SABRENT floppy to usb. i can transfer other document on the disk and read them but no the post from fusion.

Is there code in the file when you save it to a harddrive on the mac?

When you copy the file from the harddrive to the floppy, does it still show the data when read from the mac but not from the CNC machine?

The gcode files are just simple ASCII text files, so I don't think your problem is with Fusion 360. What do you get if you type the gcode in a text editor, then save it to the floppy?

    Re: fusion 360 with floppy

I haven't used the floppy on my TM-1 in ages (serial transfer is more reliable), but I know the Haas controller is pretty fussy about file names. I'm pretty sure the file names can only contain numbers and no letters or other characters.

I always name my files to whatever the program number is (first line in the file) but without the leading O or zeros. So your program "O00002" would be named "2.nc". I think "00002.nc" would also be fine.

On the MAC, it looks like it's trying to execute your program like a shell script instead of opening it with a text editor. I'm not familiar with MACs so I can't really help you there.
