    How to machine simple part

Just playing with Solidcam, doing some learning. At this point, I understand all the basics like profiling, pockets, etc... but when I flip my part over to machine out this rather simple channel, I'm not quite sure how to do it. Any pointers? I'm definitely a beginner here.

I'm a complete novice and as no dimensions on the part difficult for anyone to advise. if part not to wide I would attempt to machine all from side (X axis) then flip 90% to cut centre slot (Y or Z axis)

Hi......Here we learn a few things........if the design cannot be machined successfully or easily....change the design.

In all case, you MUST design a thing with the knowledge of how it's going to be made.

Youll have to use a ball mill for this one and than you gonna have round corners.
