    Unable to open AI files at AutoLaser

    Hi all, I have a new Redsail X700 with AutoLaser V2.1.7 but the AutoLaser program unable to open AI files (Adobe Illustrator CS6).
    Anyone can help? Thanks.....

    Hi Frankie.
    I have also not been able to open .ai files. I end up having to open them in illustrator and then use the plugin.

    One note on that, the plugin only works if AutoLaser is not running. Also, the plugin doesn't open Illustrator properly. So you may need to run the plugin then manually open AutoLaser and you will see the exported data. Kinda wonky.

    Another option is to export to a "dxf" file, this should be readable by nearly every CNC CAM program even by AutoLaser.

    Before exporting, make sure you do not have filled surfaces, only lines, make sure that the colors are correct, each color could be generate a different layer in the CAM system, depending on the CAM System.
    At the DXF export options it is usualy the best to have text converted to curves, choose the same unit setting (mm, cm ....) that is selected for importing in the CAM system (AutoLaser...)
