Does anyone have this issue with their turret? Everything still seems to go okay during part cycles, but I'm rather concerned about this backlash in the turret. Thoughts?

In the back of the turret installation manual is instructions on how to correct this. I had to do it to mine.
Direct Document and Software Download | Tormach Inc. providers of personal small CNC machines, CNC tooling, and many more CNC items.
Good luck. I had to work with it a little to get the locking correct.
Mine does the same thing I assume its fine since when cutting the forces will push it one way. I get pretty good tolerances on the x too.
Mine would change based on how much I would take at a pass/cut. Once I adjusted it I have no backlash and the turret stays locked. It was a little time consuming but it is worth the time.
Page 24 has the instructions.

Mine locks solid - when correctly adjusted you shouldn't be able to rock the turret even a little, even with a broom handle for added leverage.
Confirmed just totally re aligned and adjusted the turret lock sensor. It is rock solid now.
Thanks
