G-rex users lets hear how its going

With Mach3 being 'done' and Q being developed how well does it work with the G-rex G100/G101? And is there any more work being done on the plug-in for the G100. Most issues I've seen expressed have been about the limit of MPG's that can be use. Are there any other issues? I do believe there is some hold up due to new firmware needed for the G100 from Gecko. If you are using G-rex vote in the poll and post your experience.

The problem that I have with it is that it is not finished! Steve should be getting us some new firmware soon... I have two of them and look forward to haveing them up and running.

the NC pod seems to be working well for me... I have a laptop that is having trouble but other then that all others seem to be running well...

Galil is doing very well but I need to finish the homing and I get the threading code started for a guy that is running a lathe on one I think at this time the Galil is the one that I like the most and I think the Delta Tau is going to be better..

Hope that helps people with where we are at

What advantages is there to running the 'pod' over the lpt ports other than Khz? Can Mach3 run pod and lpt with all motor output on the pod(lpt just for extra I/O)? Or is pod and serial modbus the best option for now? I like the features of the G100 more than any of these combos but I have no idea when gecko will finish it. I don't need a $400 toy that doesn't play well with others!

When using a hardware pulse generator (G100, ncPod), you can't use the parallel port.

What model(s) Delta Tau are you refering to? Would like to look up cost and options, new Galil are over my price range for this Hnc that I use sparingly.
    Thanks Drew
