Hey Guys,
im making stair rail components.
i draw them in solidworks and export as an .xt file to mastercam
We like to leave it all a little heavy for final sanding.
i use a blend toolpath


when i add that tolerance in mastercam instead of it being an exactly my profile just slightly bigger it seems to roll the corner to accommodate the extra tolerance ive given it.
its never been an issue before because 99% of my handrail profiles are rounded all over.

this new profile im working on has sharp edges.

WITHOUT going back and scaling my model. is there a way for mastercam to interpret this extra tolerance ive given it, without rolling over the edge?

Go to your Contour > Parameters > Cut Parameters Page (where you leave stock) there is a drop down at the right of the Roll Cutter Around Corners, change it to NONE, (it is defaulted to all) this will get you the desired results.

Oooops, I see you are using 3d milling, you may have to copy the original model to another level, alter it to what you want then machine the new model.
