Hi,
I started working with a 1997 Tornado 100, it has the hydraulic tailstock (the type that is set manually and only pushes against the material hydraulically), but it has no live end.
In order to buy one I need to know the taper it used for attachment, it appears to be MT4 but since no documentation is available with the machine I can't be sure. Also, it has a screw-on lid with a hole in the center that goes over the tapered bore, so that made me wonder if there is a special attachment that's supposed to go there rather that a simple tapered tool.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a 1998 clausing storm it has a number 4 taper . Not sure for the Tornado.
The threads your referring to.There is a nut with a hole in it.
you screw it on before you put your center in and when you un screw it .
It pushes the center out .
