Noise 'duk' and minor move of axises

Hi guys, I need some help regarding the motors,

When I turn them on, I can listen a big 'duk', which actually means that current is going through motors but I also notice that all axises move a little bit(about 1mm per turning on).
Why is this happening? It is a problem because if I leave a job unfinished and the next day resume this job, I lose the zeros points for all axises and the piece is wasted.

    Thanks in advance.

This is normal for most stepper systems, on power up

If you have to pause a job, it's best to leave the power on

    or

if you must power off, you need to use accurate machine limits switches, re-home the machine, then re-start the job

Really? And I discovered it after 1.5 year of work.
    Thanks for the info.

Microstepping. The driver may stop on a microstep, but will always start on a full step.

Nothing says good morning like a really good "DUK" !

I'm rather annoyed if I DON'T hear it at fire up because something is then obviously very wrong !

Long live the "DUK" !! :-)
