Does anybody know if its possible for me to solder on new thicker shielded wires into my servo motors? The wires that came with it were cut short and are not shielded and are just crappy wire. So I'm wondering if anybody has changed this wire out for their own? Also how would I go about doing it.
Squeezing or pinching the strain relief with needle nose vise grips will release the wire & strain relief, then remove the screws that hold the end cap on.
Using the original strain relief may be difficult if the replacement wire diameter is to large.
Worst case scenario a different style (larger) nylon dome strain relief connector may be able to be retrofit.
YMMV
Jeff...
Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
Min were crimped and soldered I opted not to mess with the others after messing with one. So I just did a splice and crimped and soldered it all together
