    Messer burn table gantry not square

    we have a Metal Master Plus, and recently we have been getting lots of terminal faults, for example 5202 DRV fault on drive amp (Xa), and 5625 HL1: cnc kernel drv error, and 5627 HL1: error executing manual command. All signs point to a gantry that is out of square. Today i got the gantry pulled square, but i think that when you release the drives, the gantry should remain in a relaxed state, not spring back to where it wants to be.

    has anyone tried to square up a gantry before? if so, how should i proceed?

    @jason_alex.

    the gantry is mounted over the slagger table. i found that the master drive motor was pulling in nice and easy to the meshing gears, but the slave axis had to be manually bumped ahead so the gears would mesh properly. since we adjusted it, there have been no faults.
