I got my CNC mill running, and now I want it running from a new PC.

I've copied the MachMill.XML settings to the new computer
I'm not sure which port its connected to so I tried all four (4) adress'

My new computer has 4 PCI LPT ports:

LPT1:
I/O range BC00-BC07
I/O range B800-B807

so I tried typing the adress: 0xBC00


LPT2:
I/O range B400-B407
I/O range B000-B007

so I tried typing the adress: 0xB400

and so on...


did I type the port adress wrong or do you have any idea what the problem else might be?


the settings (since I've copied them from the old/ working PC) looks like it's exactly the same as I've already had the machine running with on the old PC,
but there's no movement/ connection at all.

I've experienced the same problem, the way i fixed it was updating to the latest version a mach3. And also, make sure your using windows 32 bit and not 64 otherwise, you'll never go anywhere

I'm using 64 bit, could that be the problem?
do I need a new Windows Copy then? :s

Mach3 can not use parallel ports on a 64 bit OS.
