    Deleting entities

    Hi , All
I was working on a large file last night and only needed to keep 1 surface out from it for geometry. I tried to delete 400 + other solids but only shrank the file size from132mb to 130mb. I would think that deleting the solids would make them go away and would save to a 2mb or whatever size file???. I sure would like to work that way!!!. What am I missing???

Copy the geometry you want to keep. Paste and save in new window/file. The new file will not contain any of the history.
It is also much faster than deleting 400 other entities...

Thanks Jest, I thought of that but was concerned about how to paste it in at the exact same position on the new file ?. I need to put more boundries and things that are already placed in the correct position in a file to merge.

    Thanks, Dave

    Bonus...
Copy/paste places entity in exact same location/position/orientation
