Alright everyone I have been collecting pieces for my machine for a few months now, and I am finally ready to start building. I started working on it a little bit today and took a few pictures along the way here was a quick sketch I did of the size. The machine will hold be a 4x4 and use my Hypertherm PowerMax 600.

I cut all the pieces to length using my rigid chop saw. I used 1.5" by 1.5" box tubing and the rails are .375" by 2". The gantry will ride on 25mm NKS rail and linear bearings.

I squared up and tack welded the two sides first then squared up and tacked the two halves together.

Last post for tonight. I got the holes drilled to mount the gear rack to the cold roll bar and placed them on the frame to see how it was going to look. Frame still needs a lot of bracing added but its starting to look like something.
