10 diameters deep. It worked !. I'm sure it's probably not a big deal in aluminum, but it's the first time I've drilled anything that small. I can barely see the drill bit. :-).

What cut parameters did you use?
Musta been lots of tiny, little pecks.... Smallest I've ever even tried was about 0.030" diameter.

HSMadvisor recommended 3.3"/min @6000rpm, peck .01". I pecked .006" because I'm chicken, but it worked, no broken bits, so I'm happy. Hopefully you can see the holes in the pic. They are in a spiral pattern.

That's pretty good. Run out is critical on small drills. I was watching a guy at work drilling .003 holes, can't even see the drills, and the flood coolant would break them! Whole different art below .015.
