Lockable objects in Rhinocad so you cannot move them and mess stuff up

    Hi,

Kinda new to Rhinocad, still finding new features most of the time.

I am using Rhinocad with Rhincam plugin to generate lots of machining operations for a single part I intend on milling multiple times. As work progresses I am adding more operations, which are based on curves, while there are many which are finished and must be left well alone or they could mess up my MOps if accidentally changed in some way.

To facilitate adding more features to this drawing and not worry about upsetting some of the finished parts, is there any way to 'lock' objects such as curves and surfaces in place so they cannot be moved or deleted or edited in any way without being 'unlocked' ?

    Ta all

    James

Does Rhino let you lock the layers they are on?

That's a good idea, I've just tried it and it does indeed lock specific layers. Not quite as convenient as a specific tool for it but good enough for me.

    Thanks ger21

    Scarlaton,
Yes there is a way. Under the Standard ribbon towards the right side there is a "padlock", if you click the little arrow in the lower right corner you have all sorts of options for locking and unlocking objects. Or if you go under "Edit" and go down to Visibility there is the command list in there.
