    MC-80H NO LOW COOLANT ALARM

    Have a MC-80H with OSP 5000 that does not alarm out when coolant is low. The switch is good and it shows on the check data screen that it turns on and off. Possible parameter issue mabye ? I have all the books but I doen't see a parameter related to this.

    If I remember right, the parameter will only allow Alarm A or B, but you may not want either so that you don't stop part way through a drilling cycle. You may want to use VDIN to check the data input and then designate your own user alarm of level C to make it function the way you want.

    For example:

    IF [[VDIN[1158] AND 64]EQ 64]]NRUN (pick appropriate address in check data - see maintenance manual)
    VUACM[1]='COOLANT LOW'
    VDOUT[991]=1
    NRUN
    ~

    Best regards,

    Well i was going to try this but I can not find the address I should be using I see all the variables like vmcod or vatol and all the other v addresses but where do find 1158 or 64. Perhaps a secret okuma handshake?

    Thanks

    Check the User Task section of your programming manual. It should reveal the check data address mapping.
