I have Hurco with ultimax, md3, mid 80's. I can upload /download conversational files to pc but cannot upload /download nc files. Controller says( reading leader .....) but never receives file.
Pc shows download complete. Changed settings all ways with no luck. Machine has 25pin rs232, pc 9 pin. Any suggestions?

I have a MD3 also. You need to change the parameters on the communication page. Change the bit from 7 to 8, or 8 to 7. It is one of those.
Where are you located?

The machine settings. Make sure you adjust the device settings in the windows for the com ports also
