Laser drops out at same x coordinate

    Hi. Strange problem:

80w tube in a Chinese frame (Morn LT-1290).

Seems the tube drops out for a moment at the same x coordinates regardless of the y coordinate.
You can see this as the two vertical bands that are uncut in the piece.

These stripes happen at the exact same physical location on the machine every time. Move the piece = move the lines in the piece.

Not sure where to start fixing this. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    That is an odd one!

Does the tube actually stop firing at that X position, or does it fire and simply not make it out of the cutting nozzle? If you can isolate the position on the X-axis where it drops out and manually drive the stage there, test the laser in that position with a Post-It note over the cutting nozzle inlet and see if it's centered (and check the rest of the alignment at that position while you're at it). You might also try holding down the Laser/Fire button on your controller while running the stage across the X-axis (if your controller allows such a thing) to see if it drops out while being driving manually.

Since you can move the piece and the lines occur in a different place, I doubt it's a controller or file problem.
