    Lathe conversion

Im getting back to my lathe conversion which has sidelined for a long time. i have a cnc10 setup for it it a 19" leblonde tape turn. wondering if i should run a vfd or not and what specs are required if i do. Any recommendations? The lathe has what called a servo shift gear change setup for spindle speed and how would a vfd work with that?

    Thanks
    Todd

    Re: Lathe conversion

You can use the gear changer to shift among up to four ranges, then use the VFD for variable speed control within each range.
