I have downloaded it but I haven't installed it yet. Given the problems they had with SC2013, I will wait until my reseller says it is safe.

I found a bug on thread milling . When using the top to bottom option the tool travels from the bottom to next position skipping it's retract to the clearance plane .

    Re: Solidcam 2014 sp1

I'm a newbie using SOLIDCAM 2014 SP1 here. I tried thread milling using a thread mill from onlinecarbide 3/8-16UNC and i didn't encounter any clearance issue to the next hole, I ran my machine without tools on the first run just to be sure. I don't think i have my feed/speed correctly though... making lots of noise... squeeching!!! Threads looks great though. This test aluminum plate should only have 2 holes, I shifted the hole on the 2nd run trying to eliminate the squeeching high pitch sound.

Regarding the clearance issue that imachining-6061 reported.. I encounter this when I upgraded to Solidcam 2014, it was using the safety distance instead of the clearance level, it was the post processor for me. SolidcamX took care of my problem since I purchase his post processor service, I'm just waiting for him to fix the transform-translate- matrix gcode issue that I'm having now.
