Have been using V25 mill for a while now pretty successfully on the same computer since Dec 2013. However, just had it stop working on restart of the computer and multiple re-starts later it is still not working. Window that shows what is at fault is 'lathe' and I don't even have (or need, or ever did need) lathe module.

System is Dell Precision M4700 running 64 bit operating system, no problems since first installing when I upgraded to this computer.

Downloaded latest V25 update; installed & 'fault lathe0003R' now vs ...0009.

Did you try and do a system restore" to a time known to be working good ?

No, the software was only
installed once, so there wasn't a restore point to go back to (unless I misunderstand how/where to do it).

The last "Windows" update would be my best bet.
Maybe best to wait till someone else with more computer sense than me can affirm this and then help you.

Had not done any windows updates; ... Until this problem I had not connected the system to the internet in the last 8-10 months; then I tried downloaded the last update for V25, and then the updates for Windows (had lots of them, but no change other than Lathe0009 to Lathe0003

There are likely to be some auto restore points that Windows will have done in the background, go to your Windows Help system and look for "restore" and follow the instructions, I can`t advise an exact route to it as you don`t say what OS you are running.

Only other thing I can think off the top of my head might be that you downloaded the wrong update file, 32 bit instead of 64 bit ? ?

I do however run V25 Build 895 as there were some issues with Build 996, are you able to "roll back" to your Build 895 ? ?

Some progress this am; tried several removal / reinstall processes to no success until I switched to a new folder (.. 'Reinstalled bcad' ...); now software starts up, shows the licensing info.

Now, however, I'm having what appears to be setup / configuration issues as all appears ok until I try to run simulation or post a file. Error comes up saying
"... Error reading machine XML file:Failed to open file..."
