Hello,
I am just starting to use MadCAM for Rhino. I am highly proficient with Vcarve for the shopbot. And, I am comfortable with Rhino, AutoCAD, etc. The MadCAM interface isn't particularly intuitive for me. Does anyone have video tutorial recommendations?

Also, I am wondering if MadCAM can operate on flat polylines similar to Vcarve or do I need to work off 3D objects to create toolpaths?

I think that when or if you are confident in Rhino, MadCAM will be logical, of course you need some CNC knowledge but if you have been running machines you know it all. There are several ways to cut along curves. I hope you can find the videos at MADCAMCNC helpful, Some of them are old now but the 2D features are mostly the same.
