Seems I can't cut threads. Machine does not like Mastercam canned program? I am able to post the thread program but lathe does not follow.
Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

Does it show the moves but not execute them? Setting in mach? Mastercam forum might be best.

i tried this a few months ago and not sure about the moves on screen? i'll try it again and let you know. what do you mean by "Setting in mach?" i do have post in Mastercam regarding this issue.

Are you using Mach 3? Typically there is an ability to do a simulation. It will help to visualize exactly what the machine is going to do. If you are feeding MasterCam Gcode straight into the original electronics the machine will probably require a custom post processor. My familiarity is with Mach 3 and there is plenty to learn there too.

not familiar with Mach 3? upon further investigating, seems even intelitek program won't function. spindle does not start with the switch in the "computer" position. then none of the G32 threading moves happen either. I'm begining to think its the software or machine? thanks for your help.
