Hi Guys,

I have a new laser machine from China (150w OLT1390) and have been using it over the past month or 2. Everything has been working fine except I heard some craking/sparking noises coming from the machine when I was engraving at 20% power. I had heard this once before a while ago but then it dident happen again.

This time it dident stop and then the laser stopped engraving. I stopped the machine to investigate and think I have found the cause. I think it is the High Voltage connector on the laser cable going from the PSU to the Laser. there was a smaller cable sitting underneath the connector which has charred and when i opened tht connector I could clearly see burn marks.

I have attached some photos.

Attachment 247828

I have contacted the manufacturer , but in the meantime what do you guys think, is my laser tube likely to have been damaged also?

Also is there a good source in the UK I could get a better quality Single Core, High Voltage connector to replace the current one?

Thanks,
