I'm designing a zero-backlash gearbox that I'd like to bring to market. I need to do some market research so I can show some investors there's an opportunity.

You would be my first customers - nothing gets built without your talent, dedication, and approval. I want to cater to your needs and make it as painless as possible.

How big (ratio) are your current gearboxes?
What kind of input & output do you require?
Would you swap for an equivalent zero-backlash gear at the same price?
What kind of volume (# units) would that represent?
Are there any machines you would make that are not affordable with the current price of gearboxes? How much would it need to change?
What specs would you need to see to make a purchasing decision?
Would you rather buy immediately available, fixed price, off the shelf from a limited selection XOR from a "call for quote" made-to-order with a ~6 week delivery time?
Anything I forgot to ask? Let me know!

I understand that you may not be allowed to talk about some of these details. If you can answer any of these questions, it would be a big help.

Thank you!

PS: It's a kind of hypocycloid, but not a harmonic drive.
