    Calculate material for bodycutter

    Hello

Thank you for entering in my post

I need to demostate that this material 070M40 080M40 En8 is suitable for this special body cutter to do a Ø39mm hole and slot for O-ring.

I have attached a blue print of this body cutter

This integrated tool cutter needs to do a Ø39mm hole x 40mm deep, on a Ø35mm pilot hole of alluminion casting.

At the end there is a T cutter to do a 3x3 slot for O-ring, so the diameter of this slot will be Ø45mm

I think this cutter is more stressed is in torsion rather than in bending

These are the parameters I used on the machine

    Cutting speed Vc = 180M/min

    Feed per tooth Fz 0.1mm/rev
For 2 carbide tips the Feed rate will be F = 300mm/min

    aluminium cast alloy number AlSi10Mg
I have found several websites which talks about the aluminium AlSi10Mg suitable for sand casting and used to manufacture boilers

Physically this cutter worked very well, however I need to demonstrate with mathematic calculations that that material is suitable to make this body cutter

Any suggestion will be very appreciative

Thank you very much in advance for your support
