LAN ERROR 111 on FAGOR 8025 TG

I have a Colchester Mascot lathe with FAGOR 8025TG control fitted with a PLCI.

It was bought with a screen fault, but I have tested the motion by entering the key sequences blind to activate jog mode.

By the time I managed to connect a screen, the backup battery had died.

I have managed to clear all the error codes except No. 111 - LAN hardware not correctly installed.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Regards

    Edward

    Hello Edward,

Does the CNC have a PLC64 (External) I/O unit?
The PLC64 unit would be connected to the main 8025 CNC through the RS485 port known as LAN.
The unit should have its own address defined in 8025 LAN with following parameters:

P611(5) The CNC occupies the main node of the LAN
P611(4, 3, 2, 1) Node number of the CNC or number of nodes in the FAGOR LAN
P609(2) There is a PLC64 in the LAN
P725 Group of marks used by the CNC to send its internal data
P726 Group of marks used by the CNC to update the status of the connectors
P727 Group of marks used by the CNC to update its internal data
P728 Group of marks used by the CNC to update its additional internal data

Thank you for replying, June and July have been busy, but time to get back to the Fagor.
The only PLC connection is to the PLCI in the contactor / servo drive box, it is a Mitsubishi Melsec f1=40mr
There is no connection to the RS485 output on the control.
The control also loses some parameter settings after powering off, although the battery has ben replaced and there is no low battery error.
I am tempted to lose the Fagor control and transfer to Linux, but need to learn more about the PLCI and if it should be retained.

    Regards

    Edward

PLCI is integrated PLC as oppose to PLC64 (External PLC unit).
Fagor PLC Program (with or without PLCI) is written in the CNC and can be downloaded from the RS232 port.
The PLC Program contains the logic of the machine (SERVO ON, Limit Switches, Homing, coolant ...)
If you upgrade the CNC you may also need this logic. the new PLC can be written from scratch or you can use the OLD program and translate it.
there is a direct upgrade from 8025 to Fagor 8037MS (Linux base)
