V27 is finally out of the bag...and finally i can spill the beans...

Guys this should be the turning point for Bobcad i think. Finally we have Parametric and all the easy functions we have all come to love and know...WOW. V27 is a huge step. All geometry is history based and will update when you change just that bit of geometry. There is tons more. Most of it was based on the CAD side but i see now CAM got some additions too.

We now have 2D Boolean...and non uniform scale for letters and shapes so you can change the scale of every aspect of it.

One feature added is the project to Z...all of us will LOVE this!

If you remember what V25 did for the software then this should put it into the next galaxy.

This will make the other software makers drool and turn green with envy i bet!

You must have a "Guy" on the inside.I don't see that V27 is actually out yet.

Just the things from that video had me pretty fired up. Big changes at a fundamental level. Here's hoping for a smooth launch, and a good experience with it!

I'm all for the 3D connextion move. Parametric will be nice, I wonder if it will have the ability to do mdf door profiles like I want.

Parametric will be an interesting addition. Now that I have a tiny bit of Solidworks under my belt, I've learned a bit about design intent. A drawing can "explode" into nonsense if you aren't careful. A change to an early stage of the model can be troublesome at times.

I also wonder again about compatibility with previous files/models. Will my drawings open without issue in V27?

What kind of features would you like to see added to the V27?

Ability to custom design shape tools for cutting tools, rather than the current limited (though WAY better than V25 and older) selection. 100% flexibility to sketch a profile and have it turned in to a tool that can be used would be great...
