    AutoCad R14 dwg import

    Hi all,

When importing 2D drawings from AutoCad R14 and extrude them to 3D drawings on Bobcad, sometimes postprocessing returns a 'bad allocation' error after a long time.
I've noticed that Bobcad shows imported entities in black lines, instead of the blue ones when the drawing is made on Bobcad. Could that has something to do with my postprocessing issue?

    Thanks!

Why would you need to extrude a 2D shape into a 3D shape in Bobcad. If your doing a pocket or profile then just use the 2D shape to make them, you shouldn't need a 3D part unless it has to have a draft angle.

That being said, I'm using Bobcad version 25 (build 1182) and have no issue doing the extrude curve to imported Autocad geometry. I have Autocad 2012, but we save our DWG files as Autocad 2000 files. Your lines will come into Bobcad in whatever color they are in the DXF/DWG Autocad file, except if using the black screen in Autocad then white lines become black in Bobcad.

One reason is so you can have a visual model of your part.I do it all the time.
