    ballscrew is wrong size just for visual reference, and we're using a pulley not direct drive.

    3" facemill at .2" doc 6IPM, later on with a fullwidth cut gets to about 80% VFD load.

    mounted, added a quick y spacer as well



    just waiting on my longer y axis ballscrew, the ebay guy is taking forever. not having much luck with ebay this month, the "TTC" style er20 collets were changed as well so they're no longer ground on the outer circle that mates to the spindle nose.

    had some issues getting the stepper up to speed, but add voltage(30V) and microstepping and bobs you auntie.

    Yeah. It's one of the simple butterfly ratchet based setups. Works well. Eats up sockets if you aren't careful. I use 12 point impact sockets which last a little longer.

    That's what I thought. I have one just like that and works well with my TTS set up, but it took me a little while to get used to it's power ti keep the 3/4 collet from dropping. Nice machine you got there.

    I can only take credit for the tool holder and the machine stand. I bought a machine that had already been converted.

    You think the grizzly mill and flashcut is a good way to start off? I have no milling experience and looking to get my feet wet. without the upgrades

    any thoughts on if you think the 8amp is needed or if you can get buy with a 2.5 or 5amp card setup?
