I don't know if this is the proper place to ask the question but I am seeking information for a simple motion controller for a canned cycle .
The cycle would be repetitive and used to control a feeding mechanism on a packaging machine. The motor source would be stepper
driving a ball screw slide. I will need the capability to store several programs for various product.
I have looked at the New Gecko 215 but a question when it will come out.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Any of the existing single stepper drives that Geckodrive makes, like the 203V, would work fine; you don't need to wait for their newest drive to come out.

MDrive plus - built in motion controller with a ton of I/O. Program routines into the Mcode (control parameters) like repetitive motion routines etc. RS422, canbus, Ethernet and step/direction models exist.

It's not that trivial though, you'll have to do some work to get it working. What program do you plan on using to operate the motor?
