    3 Axis Lathe/MillTurn Setting Times

Just like to know what sort of times people average on setting up a 3 axis Lathe/Mill-turn. Lathe has a 12inch Chuck & 12 Position turret with Live VDI Tooling, however at present we are limited to two vertical & two horizontal live tools until we spend more & buy more tooling. Please post average setting times for similar machines & also include where possibly if that includes programming/changing or machining jaws etc.

    1. You have tools assembled and ready near the machine.
    2. You have Tool Length and Radial Offset already measured and available on a paper.

In such case, you can take 5 minutes per Tool as Set-Up Time.
This does not include programming and prove out time.
