We have 2 of these machines and one or them the touch screen has stopped working from last night to this morning. I figure this is some kind of hardware problem. Do these controls have external touch controlers or is it built into the touch screen its self? I noticed there are several touch screen threads but didnt want to hiack one incase this is a different issue.

The screens have a resistive grid built into them. There is a board that it works with. Chicken or egg at this point.

Looks right, if that black plug, on the lower left of pic 2 has a flat ribbon cable that goes to the screen, thats it. I have been on my 950s alot lately. Knock wood my 2100s have been quite lately.

Yep thats what it has. I my other EP400 went down with tool changer problems today as well. Our T30 has been down for over a year and no one has been able to figure it out. One problem after another. Acramatic 950 on that one.

On the A2100 you can use a mouse in place of the touch screen. If you don't have the plug on the right side of the control screen.The control comes standard with a mouse port on the top of the control silver box in the mag panel. All you need to do is get a long mouse extension cord and bring it to the front of the control. The KTI boards go out often and most customers switch to a mouse.
