Motion not as smooth as it should be..

    Hi everyone

As I'm building a new CNC router I thought i'd rebuild my PC as well, just to make sure it was sending clean signals.. Well, I reinstalled all my files and everything worked. I ran some cuts with the old machine and noticed that the movements weren't as smooth as they were, really only talking about radius cuts. They seem a bit "jerky". I loaded a clean xml file and then started to recalibrate it to my setup. Everything is OK apart from the Z axis aways wanting to force the estop function.I don't have an estop installed and don't have any limits set.....
Any idea's? I thought with a 1mm pitch (small machine!) and 10 mirco steps the motion would be smooth as butter, I'm sure it was build the reinstall.

What else should I be checking?

    Thanks Dave

    Hi Gerry
Checked that and any other setting I thought might do something.... Any idea's way the Z axis would be calling the estop?

Sounds like the Z axis is generating interference that is causing a limit trip. Check that the limits axis in ports and pins are not selected.
    Good luck.
