    Question U100L number of offsets

Hello. My U100L control have 32 available offsets that are currently not enough for me. At least 64 offsets are necessary so that I can keep my tools well defined.
This is a limitation of the control or can they be easy added?
    Thank you

I think, this is an optional spec and you must purchase it with new software set.

how many tools you have on your lathe at once?
you can save and load tool descriptions via file

    Re: U100L number of offsets

At the same time about 18 offsets, but it is often I change tools (maybe 4 times per day).
It would be ok for me that the GCode for a job could carry the tool definition (offset, radius, ...), but I do not know if that is possible on the U100L.
    Thank you

    Re: U100L number of offsets

you can set tool geometry offsets from a program using User Task system variables.
    VTOFX [1] = 123.456
    VTOFZ [1] = 123.456

the 1 in brackets is the tool offset number

    similarly for tool nose radius....
    VNSRX [1]=0.8
    VNSRZ [1]=0.8

More system variables are listed in one of the Special Functions Manuals that deals with User Task.

    Re: U100L number of offsets

How! If this works on my machine then all is solved as my tools never leave the VDI holder, therefor I can manage a database on my CAM and add that information in the Gcode, without the need to change the tooltable before a job.
    Many thanks fordav11 !
