Indicator & Gauges to buy for 5410a

Hi Everyone I did some research on what I'm Looking for in a Forum and this site looks great for me...
I just purchased the 5410A cnc deluxe pkg a with motors and all including the probe kit..
Which has not arrived yet so I am getting ready to setup the system with indicator and Gauges tools which I have not purchased yet because their are
overwhelming many products out there and I am having a hard time picking the correct tools to setup the machine and also to gauge my work.
So Starrett has everything I need but again there's so much to choose from.... with a reasonable price as I'm a student, If anyone has the same
system I would like to know what type of equipment you purchased for your setup and also use the same equipment for future projects... So I won't double purchase would be appreciated.

    All the Best
    Carlo

    P.S
the precision tools do's not have to be from Starrett.

OK. I see I have 1 of the in SAE but mine is an A2ZCNC.

Anyway being a student and needing to learn and save money, I would recommend Shars or Ebay as a great source of measurement and cutting tools.

IMO to get started, a simple dial indicator (usually a mag base but the Sherline is aluminum) you will have to make or adapt it to a t slot, a set of digital calipers, a set of parallels, a pair of 1,2,3 blocks, and more end mills than you think, drill bits. It gets expensive, take your time. The Sherline is an accurate machine right out of the box, dont over think it at first. I mean we arent thinking of space projects just yet are we?

Thanks for your insite it can be very expensive and I will take my time....I understand the parallels and the calipers but when you say 1.2.3 blocks do you mean gauge blocks or test blocks or both?
    thanks the gorgster.

1-2-3 blocks are precision metal block with multiple mounting holes and the measure 1 inch x 2 inch x 3 inch.
