Machining time no longer displayed in V26 simulation

    Hello,
I have just upgraded from V25 to V26.
In the simulation window, when in "time-based mode", V25 was showing the machining time in upper right corner (see screenshot below).
In V26, this information is no longer displayed.
    Any clue ?
    Thanks.
    Frederic.

I think it may be because it really isn`t needed anymore since the setup sheets became available, it is now easier to just generate a setup sheet which has all the run times for every operation (In Full Setup sheet) without needing to run the simulation at all

    Rob, thank you.
Yes, setup sheet is quite comprehensive and gives the machining time.
I can also see it in the statistics tab.
The only missing information is the progress during simulation expressed in time.
But that is not a big issue as the progress bar in the bottom gives a visual estimation.

Thumbs up Re: Machining time no longer displayed in V26 simulation

it should show it..period..not everyone prints the damn sheet out....but we do look at the machine time when simulating to improve it...so i can change tool paths or strategies...BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!! ANOTHER REASON WHY NOT TO UPGRADE!

Machining time per operation and overall is shown in the Statistics tab of the simulation. It isn't a "real-time" countdown, but it still ought to be helpful.

Not any need to "print the damn thing out", just a couple of clicks and it`s easy to check times without even running the simulation and as "trotline" points out the times are there in the sim as well.

I am checking the setup sheet facility as I go with almost every Feature I do, just so easy to do a quick check and change whatever is needed without running the sim, saves loads of time

Not my biggest gripe by any means as there are numerous tools to do the same task already mentioned (including Predator which is always *Spot On*) but I would prefer to have it back. First World Problems, right?

Re: Machining time no longer displayed in V26 simulation

If they were to improve anything to do with the run time in simulation, I'd first like to see the simulation take accel/decel into account so the estimated time is more meaningful. In most cases it's only showing about half of the real world run time (my machine runs at 200-800 ipm often, so accel/decel is a huge factor). I don't really have any problem looking in the statistics tab for the time estimate, but you do have to scroll down to see the overall run time (I can only see the current operation run time without scrolling). It would be nice to see it on the screen as the OP showed in V25.
