Hellooo,

I have a roughed out circular pocket. I have a complex shape at the bottom I need to cut. I have jig grinding to be done on the walls of the pocket so I don't want to cut them.

I'm using Slice Spiral. I've defined the Geometry. I've put an arc with the proper radius so the tool does not cut the wall. I've defined this as the Boundary (in 2 places in the Cam Tree)

The toolpath always ignores the boundary. Isn't it supposed to tell the tool exactly where it's bound???

I'd greatly appreciate any help.

nevermind

this is really annoying. It's working now.

the pocket is 1.8 inch dia. I got frustrated and drew a .75" dia. arc and set it as the boundary a while ago.....with a .25 inch mill the toolpath should have been smaller...it was still milling the whole solid. Even without setting the Linking on Boundary to Follow......that was an hour ago.

Now I tried setting it to Retract and drew my original desired boundary......Now It Works......I've got over a week time in this chunk of steel and I'm nervous. It did not follow the boundary when I tried it.
