bt30 and nmtb30 have the same taper but the bt30 uses a pull stud and not drawbar. the two are not interchangeable.

was just thinking if there was a 3/4" collet say with NMTB-30 taper it would be something that people could switch in and out for certain operations . you could use a regular taper for the rough heavy cuts and then to run the semi and main finish you could use the tool changer with the holders with a 3/4 shank like on the smaller mills . Then you could use a power drawbar ???
