Hi guys,

I fiddle with Mastercam X5 now for 1.5days, and I just don't get Mastercam to generate working NC for my now-CNCed lathe.
The problem is that the values in X are output as negative values while in the drawing it is positive (+D).
On screen the tool approaches the part from the bottom (+D direction), which is according to my lathe's setup.
The machine in MCAM is defined as a typical lathe with a lower left turret with X and Z.

I've attached some setup screens so you guys can maybe help me out here - would really appreciate it!!

Hi budgieW,

you are refering to the picture of the X axis configuration, right? That's what I wanted to point out. Regardless of how I am changing the positive axis direction setting (tried both, positive and negative Y), it still considers the bottom half to be the negative X one. That's somehow very strange..
